Known for its delicate patterns and lines, the vibrant colored designs used here are inspired by Mughal paintings and the artwork in the palaces of Jaipur. While the printing technique itself goes back hundreds of years, Sanganer emerged as a great hand printing center in the 17th century, thanks to Royal patronage. The quilt comes with 2 complimenting pillow covers. The motifs are inspired by nature and its elements. The origins of this printing technique can be traced back to the Chippa community, who settled in and around Jaipur after finding patronage under the royal family of Jaipur between the 16th and 17th centuries.
